MARESME GARDEN

We came across a sloping garden covered with grass, the assignment? Fitting a swimming pool.
After evaluating several options, it was decided to place the pool in the lower level of the garden to enjoy the sunniest area. As we needed a staircase to connect the two levels, we took the opportunity to place the technical room underneath. The space was arranged with steel profiles and plantings, creating new paths, taking advantage of the garden’s potential and its contrasts between light and shadow.
The existing carob and olive trees were revalued and trees were added, cypresses that bring verticality to the garden, which not only helps to comply with municipal regulations, but also enhances the garden with its architecture and flowering, providing pleasant shaded areas in the summer.
Corten steel profiles help to structure the garden naturally and discreetly. In turn, the gravel confining plates help to keep them in place and facilitate circulation. In addition, to favor privacy from the neighbors, we chose to plant Chanticleer pear trees because they have a spectacular bloom in spring.
An important value of this garden is the lighting that allows us to create very different environments for nighttime enjoyment, especially in summer.
